"We are really excited to be part of this program", commented Simon Jones, the hotel's Resident Manager. "Novotel Singapore Clarke Quay has worked hard on numerous environmental and social programs in 2008, and is continuing to do so in 2009. Novotel Singapore Clarke Quay is 1st Hotel in Singapore to be Certified (in 2008) as a Green Globe Hotel by the EC3 Group; participation in the Earth Hour program continues to shows our commitment" Jones said.

The EC3 program makes a specialist team of consultants and managers, as well as environmental products, available to Novotel Clarke Quay. The luxury Singapore hotel also recently created and made public their environmental policy, which includes initiatives related to energy efficiency and use of renewable energy, reduction of water consumption and water recycling, and recycling of waste.
